Privacy Policy

Scope

This policy applies to kennedyandsonsinc.com, public rental and estimate forms, booking confirmations, and the authorized Kennedy Dispatch web app. It does not replace the separate terms that apply to a specific dumpster, equipment, cleanout, or demolition service.

Information you provide

When you request a rental, estimate, or other service, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, delivery or job-site address, requested products and quantities, rental dates, project details, notes, and any promo code you enter.

If an invoice or additional charge is created, we may also keep the invoice recipient, amount, reason for the charge, payment status, and related QuickBooks invoice identifiers.

Service and dispatch records

To deliver and document a service, authorized staff may record booking status, delivery and pickup history, prices, discounts, equipment details, job-site coordinates when available, and notes about the rental.

Authorized staff may take condition photos at drop-off or pickup. These photos are intended to document the rental item and job-site conditions, but may incidentally include parts of the property shown around the item.

Website, device, and usage information

Our website and service providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser and device type, requested pages, approximate location derived from an IP address, referring page, timestamps, interactions with booking features, and diagnostic or security events.

For authorized dispatch users, we also process the account email, signed-in session information, and, when enabled, the device's push-notification subscription.

How we use information

• Respond to questions, rental requests, and estimate requests.
• Check inventory, calculate pricing, and coordinate delivery and pickup.
• Contact customers about scheduling, service details, invoices, and payments.
• Document item condition, job-site activity, status changes, and extra charges.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and dispatch tools.
• Maintain business, accounting, tax, insurance, and legal records.

Cookies and browser storage

The site uses browser storage needed for features such as recent booking confirmation details, the installable web app, and authorized dispatch sessions. A dispatch session may remain on an authorized device for up to 90 days unless the user signs out, the password changes, or access is otherwise revoked.

Optional Google Analytics stays off unless you choose Accept analytics in the cookie panel. If accepted, it helps us understand page visits and interactions in aggregate and may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google states that these cookies have a default expiration of up to two years, subject to browser limits and configuration.

Choose Only necessary to decline analytics. You can review or change your choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the footer. You may also restrict cookies in your browser or use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Disabling required storage may affect sign-in or other site features.

When information is shared

We do not sell or rent customer personal information, and we do not use rental-request details for cross-site behavioral advertising. We may share information only as reasonably needed with:

• Cloudflare, for website delivery, reliability, and security.
• Google, for website analytics and, when an authorized dispatch user opens directions, mapping services.
• Intuit/QuickBooks, to create, email, manage, and collect invoices.
• Email, hosting, notification, and technical service providers that help operate the business and website.
• Government authorities, insurers, advisors, or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect customers, the business, or others.

If the business is reorganized, sold, or transferred, relevant records may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.

Payments

Customers may receive and pay invoices through Intuit QuickBooks. Intuit processes payment card or bank information under its own privacy practices. The Kennedy & Sons website does not collect or store complete payment card or bank account numbers.

Retention

We keep rental, invoice, status-history, extra-charge, and condition-photo records for as long as reasonably needed for operations, accounting, tax, insurance, dispute resolution, safety, and legal obligations. Closed or cancelled bookings may be archived rather than immediately deleted. Other inquiry and technical records are kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, unless a longer period is required by law.

When records are no longer reasonably needed, we will delete, de-identify, or securely dispose of them where practical and permitted by law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including restricted dispatch access, encrypted HTTPS connections, and access controls around customer and operational records. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices and requests

You may ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information you submitted. We will respond consistent with applicable law and may need to verify your identity. Some records may need to be retained for accounting, tax, safety, fraud prevention, dispute, or legal reasons.

Authorized dispatch users may disable push notifications in device settings. Visitors may change optional analytics through Cookie Settings, manage storage in browser settings, or use the Google Analytics opt-out link above.

Children's privacy

This website and our rental services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.

External services

The website may link to services operated by other companies, including maps and payment pages. Their privacy practices apply when you use those services, and we encourage you to review their policies.

Policy updates

We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the current version became effective. Material changes will be presented on the website when appropriate.
